NHL 19 HUT Halloween Event Guide!

The Hockey Ultimate Team Halloween is back! Ending November 1st at 2pm PT. Bringing with it a brand new Competitive Season, challenges, objectives, packs, a new synergy, two Sets and themed cards! New player items are focused on today’s Heavy Hitters in the NHL.

Heavy Hitter Synergy

Before getting into the players, we’ll first take a look at the new Heavy Hitter synergy. Players with Heavy Hitter activated will receive a +4 to their Body Checking, Strength and Defensive Awareness stats. The synergy requires 4 points to activate! The Halloween themed cards released have the Heavy Hitter synergy + another synergy.

Halloween Cards

As stated before all players have 2 synergies, Heavy Hitter plus an additional synergy.

In the Store there is a free pack for a Loan 90 OVR Dustin Byfuglien. This new loan card works differently from others, where as previous loan cards had a game limit, this loan has a time limit of 48 Hours real time. So from the moment you open the pack you will have 48 hours to use this card for as many games as you want. Once the time limit runs out, there is a set available to reset the time limit. More on that later.

Trade in your Base Evander Kane and 15 Halloween Collectibles (Man with Crow).

Halloween Six Feet Under Set

Trade in 2 Spider, Witch, Spell Book, and Man with Crow Halloween Collectibles for an untradeable Non-Set Halloween Player.

*Halloween Collectibles can be obtained through Packs, Competitive Season Rewards, Daily Rewards, and by completing the Event Objectives.

Loan Halloween Dustin Byfuglien Refresh Set

Trade in your Loan Dustin Byfuglien and any 5 Gold Players (Common/Rare) to refresh the loans duration. This can only be done once.

Team Building Set

The Team Building sets give you another way of obtaining than cards that are required for the Halloween sets. That includes Tom Wilson, Evander Kane, Matthew Tkachuk, and Nikita Zadorov. The value of those players has of course gone through the roof now that they are required to get a 90 OVR Byfuglien, so if by any chance you have some stashed away or you have any of the Gold Common cards listed below then you will be ahead of the game!

Washington Capitals Team Building

Trade in your Base Brooks Orpik and 10 Silver Rare players for an Untradeable Basic Tom Wilson.

San Jose Sharks Team Building

Trade in your Base Justin Braun and 10 Silver Rare players for an Untradeable Basic Evander Kane.

Calgary Flames Team Building

Trade in your Base Mike Smith and 10 Silver Rare players for an Untradeable Basic Matthew Tkachuk.

Colorado Avalanche Team Building

Trade in your Base Gabriel Bourque and 10 Silver Rare players for an Untradeable Basic Nikita Zadorov.

Comp Season 4: Halloween

This 2 round Competitive Season has no entry requirements! You must complete a minimum of 3 games in each round to earn a rank. The top prize for finishing Top 100 is an 89 OVR Jason Arnott a big center (6’5”) accompanied with great synergies. The rounds run as follows:

• Round 1: Now live – October 24th at 11:59 pm PT.
• Round 2: October 25th at 2pm PT – October 31st at 11:59 pm PT

The season standing results will be finalized on November 1st at 1:30 pm PT

Halloween Competitive Season Rewards:

Daily Challenges

Throughout the Event there will be new Daily Challenges every weekday. With a chance to receive 1100 Coins and an untradeable Daily Reward. Periods are 2 minutes and the difficulty will probably be set to Pro for all Challenges.

Event Objectives

New Objectives have been added in the Event menu.

These objectives include:

• Complete 3 Halloween HUT Challenges – 500 Coins
• Score 10 Goals – 1000 Coins
• Make 50 Hits – 500 Coins
• Take 100 Shots on Goal – 500 Coins
• Complete a Team Building Set – 500 Coins

The objectives can be completed in both Online and Offline games.
